It all began on a hot summer afternoon. Alice was sitting on the riverbank with her sister, bored by a book with no pictures or conversations. Suddenly, a White Rabbit with pink eyes ran by her. What caught her attention most was not that the rabbit spoke, but that he took a pocket watch out of his waistcoat and exclaimed: 'Oh dear! I shall be too late!'.
