Dorothy is an orphan girl living in Kansas with her Aunt Em, Uncle Henry, and her little dog, Toto. One day, a terrible cyclone sweeps their house into the air. When the house lands, Dorothy discovers she is no longer in Kansas, but in a magical and colorful land. Stepping out, she sees her house has fallen on the Wicked Witch of the East, freeing the Munchkins from her tyranny! The Good Witch of the North appears, gives Dorothy magical shoes, and explains that to get home, she must go to the Emerald City and ask for the powerful Wizard of Oz for help.
